G.W. Bailey in Rustler's Rhapsody G.W. Bailey

George William (GW) Bailey is an American stage, television and film actor (born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1944). He began his work on such television series as Starsky and Hutch, Charlie's Angels and CHiPs. He eventually got a movie debut role in the Chuck Norris movie A Force of One (1979) before landing the role of Staff Seargent Luther Rizzo in the M*A*S*H television series. Although he prefers dramatic acting, his most famous role will always be that of Lieutenant (and later, Captain) Thaddeus Harris in the five Police Academy movies. His most recent work is portraying Detective Louie Provenza from the television crime drama The Closer. He currently stars in the spinoff series Major Crimes.

George has worked in western tv shows, such as How the West Was Won and Legend; and some western films as well, such as The Capture of Grizzly Adams (1982), and Rustler's Rhapsody (1985).
