Kevin Dobson was born in Jackson Heights, New York, in 1943, of Irish descent. Before embarking on an acting career, Kevin worked as a trainman, brakeman and conductor for the Long Island Rail Road. After a brief appearance in the 1971 film Klute and small acting roles on TV series such as The Mod Squad, Emergency! and Cannon, Kevin won the role of Det. Bobby Crocker, on the TV series Kojak. He was a military policeman in the Army, so he knew how to hold a gun and throw somebody against a wall. He remained with Kojak for its entire run from 1973 to 1978, and later reunited with Telly Savalas for the 1990 TV movie, Kojak: It's Always Something. He also appeared in various other tv shows, such as: Knotts Landing, Shannon, One Life to Live, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, and Anger Management..
